History of Micro Tech

Sanford Comeaux, the founder of Micro Tech, began providing IT services to a large real estate development company in the Nashville area in May of 1987. When an employee of this company referred a business associate to Sanford, one of the stipulations of this new client was that Sanford moves to Nashville. Two days after Christmas, 1987 he and his wife Pam moved to middle Tennessee. In April of 1988, he hired his first associate and named his new company Microcomputer Technology Associates, later being shortened to Micro Tech.

Micro Tech has always provided products and services to clients that covered all elements in a total automated solution. Micro Tech represented an accounting software company from New England called RealWorld.

When Great Plains purchased RealWorld in January of 2000, Micro Tech quickly became a Great Plains partner. In March of 2000, in order to achieve and maintain a much higher level of technology, Sanford organized a company called JourneyTEAM and quickly solicited the interest and ultimate consolidation of several other RealWorld partner organizations nationally.

Today JourneyTEAM, LLC is the primary partner organization with Microsoft and Micro Tech, along with nine (9) other offices that `are sub-partner organizations with Microsoft. Great Plains was subsequently purchased by Microsoft in 2002, making JourneyTEAM and Micro Tech Microsoft Gold Certified Partners.
